Little by little
they’re stealing
my patches
of green
As winter light
slowly but surely
disappears
in the dust
Yet climate change
is but a myth
a mirage
an illusion.
The melting ice
The yellow grass
The crinkled leaves
on lifeless trees
Are merely
figments of
my over active
imagination
But tell me
If this is so
Why can I not see
my patches
of green?
