The Song Of Cicada Wings
A tale of love, opera and epilepsy. Set in Kangaroo Point Brisbane at the turn of the century, a family of opera singers travel throughout Australia in pursuit of theatrical greatness. Through marriages, sea voyages and financial difficulties, the family are able to stay strong. Together they face the times in which they live with hope for the future and a zest for the music of life. It is only when one member of the family, the youngest, is diagnosed with a terrible illness that the family begins to fall apart? As the shadows fall and the cicadas continue to sing, the family must find a way back to each other in order to move on.
