They held hands and gazed into each others eyes while they danced in the moonlight.
They had been dancing like this since the dawn of time. Their love an eternal flame that could never be extinguished.
I stood there glued to the spot. Unable to blink for fear they might evaporate into thin air. Back into the mists of time. Lost forever in twilight.
I had at last found the answer to my burning questions on immortality. There really was a fountain of youth.
I began my search in the place where the moon still held sway.
Where the trees whispered in the soft breeze of evening glow.
Where they had first glimpsed the essence of beyond .
